This role can be based in either Oslo or Bergen and will report into the HR Director, Nordics. As HR Manager you will provide significant commercial HR support in an environment where service delivery is paramount. You will coach and support leaders and managers to implement and embed people strategic plans; creating an organisation that is fit for purpose. Supporting the company’s business goals and objectives to maintain competitive advantage, increase business profitability and deliver to customer expectations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Be an advisor for managers in all HR-related issues, such as recruitment, employee development, grievances & disciplinaries, and labor law issues
  • Work closely with senior leaders and functional support teams, providing a mix of “hands-on” operational HR guidance as well as strategic partnering
  • Facilitate training and coaching for managers (E&LR, new supervisor training, diversity and inclusion philosophies, positive employee relations training, talent management, etc.)
  • Support and drive implementation of annual HR processes and tools
  • Ownership of quality control for HR administrative tasks, reporting, revision of documents/ handbooks, supplier relationships
  • Continuous development of the HR department's internal processes and procedures
  • Play a key role in the transition towards a new HR operating model, incorporating specialist centers of excellence
  • Drive the implementation of negotiations and cooperation with the unions
  • 1 x direct report (Payroll)
  • Support communication activities (distribution and translation)

Qualifications/ Experience/ Knowledge:

Essential:

  • Extensive experience within a HR Manager/ Partner role
  • Good knowledge of labor law
  • Coaching to business leaders and managers
  • A background within large organisations with significant (engineering) field-based population
  • Demonstrable experience in continuous review and improvement of people processes and procedures to meet operational requirements
  • Strong language skills in Norwegian and English (written and oral)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office knowledge and HRIS (Workday advantageous)

Desirable:

  • Demonstrable experience in managing employee and trade union relations and improving employee engagement
  • Higher education qualification in related subject
